Chapter 4 The Hidden Truth Revealed
The heavy front doors closed with a loud and echoing thud.
Richard walked briskly into the center of the spacious marble foyer.
His face showed deep confusion and growing concern for his loved ones.
Richard: Why is everyone shouting in here?
Victoria instantly changed her tone and squeezed out fake tears.
She rushed toward her husband with an exaggerated limp.
Victoria: Oh darling, thank goodness you arrived just in time!
Richard: Victoria, what happened to your cheek?
Victoria: This crazy maid attacked me and threatened your little boy!
Sarah stood her ground firmly without showing any fear at all.
She held Leo's small hand tightly in her own warm grasp.
Sarah: Do not listen to her lies, Mr. Davis.
Richard: Sarah, please explain what is happening right now.
Little Leo stepped out from behind Sarah and pointed directly at Victoria.
His voice was trembling with deep emotion and leftover fear.
Leo: Dad, she tried to hurt me at the top of the stairs!
Richard looked down at his young son in total shock and disbelief.
Richard: What did you just say, Leo?
Leo: She grabbed me and pulled me toward the edge, Dad!
Victoria: He is lying, Richard, the boy is making up stories!
Sarah: I caught him at the bottom of the steps with my own arms.
Sarah pointed toward the small hallway security camera mounted on the wall.
The lens was focused directly on the grand marble staircase above.
Sarah: Check the security camera footage if you do not believe us.
Victoria's face turned completely pale as she looked up at the camera.
She had forgotten that Richard had installed new security cameras last month.
Richard's eyes narrowed as he pulled out his smart tablet device.
He quickly accessed the live security feed and played back the recent footage.
His face contorted from utter confusion into deep, boiling anger.
