Victoria: You should learn your place in this house, Sarah.
Sarah: You are a monster for treating a child like this!
Victoria: I am the mistress of this mansion, so watch your tongue.
Sarah carefully set little Leo down behind her protective stance.
She stepped forward and confronted the cruel stepmother face to face.
Sarah: I will never let you harm this child again!
Victoria: Who do you think anyone will believe, a poor maid or me?
Victoria raised her hand to push Sarah out of her way entirely.
Sarah reacted instantly and blocked the woman's aggressive arm.
She slapped Victoria across the face with a loud and resounding crack.
Victoria gasped sharply as she stumbled back against the grand railing.
She held her reddened cheek in absolute disbelief and shock.
Victoria: How dare you lay a hand on me!
Sarah: You deserve far worse for putting a child in danger!
Leo watched from behind Sarah with wide, tear-filled eyes.
He felt safe for the very first time since his father married Victoria.
Victoria: I am firing you right now, you hear me?
Sarah: I am not going anywhere until Richard returns home.
Victoria pulled out her modern smartphone to call her expensive lawyer.
She wanted to ensure that Sarah was removed from the property immediately.
Before she could dial the number, the heavy front doors swung open.
A rush of cool outdoor air swept into the grand entrance hall.
Richard walked inside, wearing his tailored dark suit and silk tie.
Two local police officers stepped into the foyer right beside him.
Richard had returned early from his business meeting to surprise his son.
